A family’s dream of a pool along with my vision for this unique property resulted in a dramatic transformation. The outcome turned a basic side yard into a one-of-a-kind outdoor paradise.

At the top of a steep private road, this beautiful home was screaming for an equally beautiful side yard. The extreme elevations of the existing property and the the view above the tree tops, ultimately determined the design of the space.

Working around the constraints of the existing property required numerous on site meetings and revisions. The objective was to create a level area that would accommodate the pool and seamlessly connect the landscape to the home's existing structure. Tiered stone walls were built to retain the drastic grade of the yard and served as the backdrop for the many living and working spaces.
